Vaccination

Vaccination is the process of receiving a vaccine to train your immune system to recognize and fight off specific harmful diseases.

It works by safely introducing a weakened, inactive, or partial version of a virus or bacteria (or its blueprint) into the body, which prompts the immune system to build antibodies.

Here are some tips for whanau turi that might help you with getting a vaccine

Most vaccines can be booked online or over the phone. You can also contact your doctor, nurse, pharmacy or healthcare provider to book a vaccination appointment.

Follow - up: If second dose is needed, you will receive detail about next follow - up appointment. If need - communication assistance, You can ask.
